Un Chien Andalou is a surrealistic short film created in 1929 by the Spanish director Luis Buñuel and artist Salvador Dalí. Besides of its lack of narrative, this 17 minutes short film became one of the most important creation, not only for the surrealist movement, but also for the next generation of filmmakers. ELECTROFILMIKA is bringing back to life Un Chien Andalou through the innovative and transgressive music of Giovanni (Trilogy).
Giovanni (Trilogy) had his first residency in a small underground club called “SubRoyal” in Bogota, Colombia, where he played all sorts of music from Techno, Electro, Tech-House to New-School Breaks. In 2004, Giovanni was invited to play at the Bogotraxx Festival. In 2006 Giovanni moved to NYC where he co-founded Biatch Corp, a musician collective dedicated to promoting new meanings for Techno Music. In 2010, Giovani founded Trilogy NYC, his own label event. Giovanni shared the stage with renowned artists such as Moby, Damian Lazarus, Sasha, Tony Rohr, Mathias Schafaulser, John Tejada among others.

Through a series of black and white photographies, La Jetée (Chris Marker, 1962) is a French science fiction film. A man is sent back in time as part of a scientific experiment in a post atomic World War III, where nuclear radiation has devastated life on the surface. In this occasion ELECTROFILMIKA will offer a reinterpretation of this astonishing Chris Maker’s film scored by Dr. Brodsky and intervened by the Visual Artist NV (Visuals).
Dr Brodsky is a Colombian producer and electronic musician based in NYC. He is emerging as a one of the best exponents of the production and mixing new tropical downtempo music, yet seasoned with a dash of great bass and deep beats. His eclectic music is an excellent and proportioned combination of Deep-Cumbia, Zouk-Bass, Kuduro and Techno, which brings together sounds beyond stereotypical borders.
