The Second Annual MoRUS Film Fest Women of the Lower East Side

Building on a commitment to public programming that showcases the history of community spaces and grassroots activism, the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRUS) will present for its Second Annual Film Fest a selection of films by and about women who have shaped the history of the Lower East Side. An nine-day event that will take place at a variety of East Village venues including Anthology Film Archives, community gardens and at Loisaida Inc. “Women of the Lower East Side” will kick-off Friday, August 1 and run through Saturday, August 9.

The First Annual MoRUS Film Fest was themed “Reclaimed Space” and drew more than 600 attendees over its seven-day run in August 2013.
