Detroit’s long and turbulent history has affected the city and its inhabitants in severely hurting neighborhoods, some of them turning into completely abandoned areas. Its population, mainly black, suffers from this ongoing decline and the history of segregation.

“Be the Change You Want to See in Detroit” is a photographic recompilation of the city and its citizens. From the black inhabitants of ghost neighborhoods, to the white businessmen of downtown, this project is an ethnographic archive of the Motor City.

Colectivo Piloto is looking for a partner to host a photographic exhibition recompiling the best shots of this project. If you would like to help, please contact us.
